about the ptg
What is the Joe Henderson PTG?
We are a group dedicated to supporting our student and school community through fundraising, community events, and enrichment opportunities. The funds we raise go directly back to students, staff and school, helping make meaningful programs and experiences possible for all students.
The PTG is the Joe Henderson Parent Teacher Group, our equivalent of a PTA/PTO. We're made up of parents, teachers, caregivers, extended family members, mentors, and anyone else who is directly related to a Joe Henderson student. Anything we do is made possible by our wonderful school community.
The funds we raise go towards programs like the Art Docent Program, and community events like Joechella and the Ice Cream Social. We also provide teachers with classroom supplies, including paying for copy room paper each year for the entire school so our teachers don't have to! We help pay for field trips, assemblies, library funds, campus improvements, teacher/staff requests, playground equipment, and much more!
Our meetings typically take place the first Tuesday of each month at 6pm in the Joe Henderson library. We hope to see you there!
