Ruby Bridges Walk to school day

Join us in honoring Ruby Bridges’ courage and resilience this Friday, November 14 at 7:15am, Jack London Park. At just six years old, Ruby made history in 1960 by becoming the first student to integrate our nation’s public schools.

Wear purple to show your support and celebrate the power of courage--it's inspiring and contagious!

hound hustle update

Thanks to our generous community, we raised an incredible $71,000 at this year’s Hound Hustle!

A huge thank you to all the families who donated and volunteered to make our run such a success. As you know, these funds support essentials like paper (we know, it’s crazy!), field trips, outdoor education, assemblies, classroom supplies, community events, library books, and so much more.

Every dollar raised directly benefits each and every student at our school, so THANK YOU!

joechella gratitude

Thank you for making Joechella a huge success!

We had an incredible turnout with over 500 attendees enjoying live music, the human slot machine, food trucks, face painting, and more!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. From our raffle basket coordinators, donation contributors, and volunteers to all the families who came out to support, we couldn’t do it without you. A special shout-out to our Community Event Coordinators who brought it all together for a fun-filled afternoon!

This community event is a favorite, and your support ensures we can bring it back year after year.

our ofrenda

Our annual ofrenda is a beautiful and powerful tradition at our school. It was moving to see students and staff reflect and share memories of their loved ones, from pets to family members to friends.

The ofrenda serves as a meaningful reminder that we have all been touched by loss, and provides a way to honor those we have lost. Thank you for being a part of this tradition.
